LINIAN have been shortlisted for the Select Industry Awards: Best New Product

LINIAN is pleased to announce they have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SELECT Industry Awards 2017 in the category of Best New Product. The prestigious awards, which are seen as a highlight of the UK Electrotechnical calendar, celebrate innovation and reward individuals and members across the industry in Scotland. This is the second time LINIAN have been nominated in this category. So why are LINIAN up for the award? Established in 2006, LINIAN is a proud family, Glasgow-based business which was founded by current directors Wes & Jean Arbuckle. The company is named after their two children, Lynne and Ian, who joined the business in August 2015. Perfected through years of development, they both invented and manufacture the LINIAN Fire Clip. A product that was born out of a real need to have a faster, safer and simpler way of installing cabling. With a range of clips available, they provide a time-saving alternative for installing fire-resistant cables on brickwork, concrete, masonry, wood studs and wood beams compared to conventional methods. For the last two years, owing to the exceptionally high demand from a huge volume of their customers, they have been developing the new 9-11mm double enhanced LINIAN Fire Clip. They brought this product to market this month and are delighted it offers the same unique features and benefits to installers of Enhanced Soft Skin Cabling among others. To date over 2 million LINIAN Fire Clips have been sold and it’s already been used for a range of high profile projects including the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow University and by companies such as Abel Alarms and Pointer. As well as being compliant with BS 5839, independently fire rated tested to 120 minutes (BS) and 90 minutes (EU) and burn tested with a melting point of >1000 degrees Celsius, The LINIAN Fire Clip is also:
  • Three times faster to install than traditional methods
  • Expertly designed to save time, money and lives
