LINIAN have been shortlisted for the Glasgow Business Award 2017: Family Business of the Year

LINIAN is very excited to announce they have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s Glasgow Business Awards 2017 in the category of Family Business of the Year. The awards, which are organised every year by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce are seen as a highlight of the Glasgow business calendar. The Awards will celebrate their 20th anniversary this year with a new main sponsor, The Royal Bank of Scotland. So why are LINIAN up for the award? Established in 2006, LINIAN is a proud family, Glasgow-based business which was founded by current directors Wes & Jean Arbuckle. The company is named after their two children, Lynne and Ian, who joined the business in August 2015. To move things forward they created an ambitious sales-focussed strategy with a view to expanding into domestic and International markets, challenging industry standards and practices through innovative, revolutionary products. Perfected through years of development, they both invented and manufacture the LINIAN Fire Clip. A product that was born out of a real need to have a faster, safer and simpler way of installing cabling. With a range of clips available, they provide a time-saving alternative for installing fire-resistant cables on brickwork, concrete, masonry, wood studs and wood beams compared to conventional methods. To date over 2 million LINIAN Fire Clips have been sold and it’s already been used for a range of high profile projects including the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow University and by companies such as Abel Alarms and Pointer. As well as being compliant with BS 5839, independently fire rated tested to 120 minutes (BS) and 90 minutes (EU) and burn tested with a melting point of >1000 degrees Celsius, The LINIAN Fire Clip is also:
