LINIAN has recently become a member of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP). The ASFP was established in 1975 to represent, support and promote the passive fire protection market in the UK and, more increasingly, Internationally. They aim to continuously develop and raise awareness of the importance of the passive fire protection industry. They also want to showcase that ‘built-in’ fire protection is crucial to controlling the spread of smoke and fire. The Association works with the Government and international standard setting bodies both directly, and via other sector groups, to provide publications, videos, technical advice, seminars, training and member support.
