LINIAN are now members of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection

LINIAN has recently become a member of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP).
The ASFP was established in 1975 to represent, support and promote the passive fire protection market in the UK and, more increasingly, Internationally. They aim to continuously develop and raise awareness of the importance of the passive fire protection industry. They also want to showcase that ‘built-in’ fire protection is crucial to controlling the spread of smoke and fire.
The Association works with the Government and international standard setting bodies both directly, and via other sector groups, to provide publications, videos, technical advice, seminars, training and member support.
Ian Arbuckle, Managing Director had this to say about this about the membership: ‘LINIAN are very proud to have become a member of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection.
Our product range was originally designed to meet the requirements for fire resistant cable fixings on fire alarm systems in accordance with BS5839 – meeting recommendations for Fire Rated Cable Fixings in Escape Routes BS7671 Amendment 3. However, one of our main advantages is the flexibility of our products. They are suitable for installing both electrical and fire alarm cables.
We like to think of our ourselves being at the forefront of Fire Protection. It's clear there is an emerging link between passive fire protection and building services installations and we plan to work closely with the ASFP to explore and define the links between both disciplines.
Last year, we brought a new product to market, following a considerably high volume of requests from customers – the new 9-11m double enhanced LINIAN Fire Clip. The success of which we are absolutely delighted with’.
LINIAN are the inventors and manufacturers of fire-resistant metal fixings for use in the construction industry to make cable installations faster, safer, and simpler. There is a range of clips available that provide a time-saving alternative for installing fire-resistant cables on brickwork, concrete, masonry, wood studs and wood beams compared to conventional methods.
One of LINIAN’s main advantages is that their products are multi-purpose for an array of solutions and as such are suitable for installing both electrical and fire alarm cables.
To date over 2 million LINIAN Fire Clips have been sold and it’s already been used for a range of high profile projects including the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow University and by companies such as Abel Alarms and Pointer.
We’d love you to…
