Unlocking Young Ambition

“Unlocking YOUNG Ambition” is a programme which gives students aged 16-30 an inspirational opportunity to be part of the Unlocking Ambition programme, including a work based project and mentoring session within some of Scotland's top entrepreneurs. LINIAN has been invited to participate in this new scheme as mentors to the emerging entrepreneurs. As many of our friends and followers will know, LINIAN is a participant in the original Unlocking Ambition scheme delivered through Scottish Enterprise. Through Unlocking Ambition, we have received incredible advice and support to help us scale up our business and develop our entrepreneurial leadership skills (read more about Lynne’s recent trip to Babson College with Unlocking Ambition). We are delighted to have the opportunity to pass it forward, supporting this next generation of entrepreneurs, welcoming them into our business and hopefully passing on a thing or two we’ve learned from our experiences.

What is Unlocking Young Ambition?

Bridge 2 Business has teamed up with the Unlocking Ambition Challenge programme (delivered by Scottish Enterprise & Scotland CANDO) to create a new partnership to help develop entrepreneurial skills in young people. The team selected a fantastic cohort of talented, ambitious young people and pair them up with local businesses. We will have six talented students working with us at the LINIAN offices. During the programme, the students will:

Meet and be personally mentored by an inspiring, successful Scottish entrepreneur (that’s our very own Ian Arbuckle)
Take part in a special mini-project within our business, increasing their skills and knowledge of what it takes to run a business.
Hopefully be inspired to consider starting their own business too!
