New state-of-the-art coating plant to make LINIAN’s products Faster, Safer & Simpler

At LINIAN, we like to think of ourselves as leaders in innovation and we are always looking at ways to either improve and expand our range of products or streamline the production process. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that we have recently invested in our own, state-of-the-art coating plant. Ian Arbuckle, Managing Director at LINIAN explained the importance of this acquisition: “With over two generations of expertise of inventing and manufacturing 18th Edition Compliant fire rated cable clips, Team LINIAN live and breathe the concept of making cable installations safe for as many people as possible. Our products are designed to meet expectations. In short they are faster, safer and simpler because of our rigorous testing process which ensures the safest products on the market. The new coating plant will allow us to:
  • Create a more robust coating for all of our products – ensuring they don’t chip, split or break
  • Ensure our products can continue to be Salt spray tested to 500 hours and are Smoke emission tested to London Underground Standard
  • Eliminate the need for plain galvanised clips next to coloured cables
  • Explore options to create a range of non-standard colours (dependent on volume)
Our range of products are now designed to comfortably accommodate: round cables from 4mm to 25mm overall diameter and Twin and Earth cables from 1mm² to 10 mm² conductor size. We are all about efficiency, quality and attention to detail and we are delighted to be able to have more control over the manufacturing process from start to finish”. What makes LINIAN products different? Every LINIAN product is a unique single component, patented design which eliminates the need for plugs, screws and washers. As well as being fully compliant with the IET BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, our products have been independently tested to meet the fire regulations in the EU and the UK. Owing to a SIMPLE three step installation process, they are three times faster to install than traditional methods. Heard about our brand new SuperClips and T&E Clips? Our SuperClips are manufactured from heavy gauge steel and are available to accommodate larger diameter cables and conduits up to 25mm (this includes armoured and grouped cables). The SuperClip supports a max tensile load of 44kg. While our T&E Clips are designed specifically for flat twin and cpc cabling (twin & earth), and are available in sizes 1mm, 1.5mm, 2.5mm, 4mm, 6mm and 10mm. As with our range of FireClips, the T&E Clip supports a max tensile load of 24kg. Watch the videos here: SuperClip in action T&E Clip in action
